Imagine being homeless and nowhere to go. Imagine your children going to bed without a roof over their head. In the city of Phnom Phen in the country of Cambodia , 2000 devastated families were moved 30 miles outside the city in a remote location without clean water, a sewage system, or housing. This move by the government to clean up the city has put no thought into the well-being of these people. They are now miles from any source of work. In a country where 90% of the population is below the international poverty line and illiteracy is rampant. The situation is bleak to say the least, so we want to help by putting a roof over their heads and getting them out of the mud. The pending rainy season will raise the disease infested water from ankle deep to twenty two inches.
